Bell Tower

The next tower had circular stairs and more ladders.

Someone rang the bells and announced loudly that it was 4:15. It might have been me.

The ladders led way up to the top of the tower where there were 4 tiny windows you can crawl out of to enjoy the view of the city and the Virgin of Quito atop El Panecillo hill. It was really freaky, and after sitting awkwardly on the small ledge for about 20 seconds, I considered that experience to be complete. (Dana and I were shocked when a lady wearing spiky high heels climbed up to join us.)
