Political Statements

Americans have bumper stickers. Peruvians paint their opinions on their houses. These are left over from last year's election. Somos Peru means "We are Peru." The heart is a symbol for a political party. The X means "check this party on your ballot".

Since Peru has been in political upheaval since, well forever. The villagers have strong ideas about the way things should be run, but like in many countries, it is the rich who make all the decisions.
