Wat Sakat
On our last day in Bangkok, Bev and I went on a long walking tour. First on our list was Wat Sakat. When we asked people on the street for the direction to the Wat, they just looked at us like we were crazy, and said, "Have you been to the Grand Palace? Why do you want to go to Wat Sakat?" It turned out to be one of my favorite wats.
We climbed a long series of steps that led to a 360 degree view of Bangkok.
At no other wat has my auditory sense been so alive. There was Buddhist chanting, peaceful waterfalls, bells tinkling in the wind, and some jerk kept banging the gong.
