Elephants

 

Sure, we could have walked the few miles up to the waterfall, but this was so much easier!

 

My elephant was a male. That was really obvious. I don't want to get too graphic here but dang! He had no problem walking through mud, crossing rivers, trodding up hills - all with me perched on top. It was one of the highlights of the trip.

 

Along with the banana tree fields, we passed rubber trees. About midway down on each tree hung a little spout and cup. At the end was a waterfall which, compared to the elephant, was kind of boring.

 

When the ride is over, they line up the elephants and cut up 2 pineapple and ask if you want to buy them to feed to the elephant you just rode. The elephants are standing there, staring at the fruit. How can you say no.
