Khao Sok National Park

We took a tour of the beautiful Chiaw Lan Lake by longtail boat. It's a man-made lake set in a deep valley. It's 960 meters at its deepest point, giving it an ultra-blue color.

After an hour, we ended up at a rafthouse which is a fancy name for a bunch of shacks barely held up by some sticks in the water.

We kayaked in the lagoon for a while before setting off on a 3 hour hike through the jungle with our guide who we were just beginning to realize was a lunatic.

The trail was beautiful and fun, despite our guide who seemed set of losing some of the group members or at the very least, maiming someone during the journey. Side note: the only thing he pointed out during the entire 3 hours was bamboo. When Traci asked him to name some of the other trees and flowers, he pretended he didn't hear her and launched into a Borat impression.

Thailand is full of land leeches. You don't feel them or even see them usually, so you just have to keep checking your feet and legs. Or in Bev's case, her belly button which is apparantly leech heaven.

This one was pulled off by one of the group members after the hike.
