Walls of Stone


The stone cutters used rocks from a nearby quarry to shape the smooth stone rocks to fit perfectly with one another. They are so tight together, that you can't even slip a piece of paper through the slats.
If there was a large slab of rock in the mountainside, they often used that as a basis for a building, and worked with it.
I can't imagine how much time was spent shaping this beautiful door latch.
