Fallen Log

Tahoe is such a good dog. He follows me wherever I go, even when I just want to get a cute picture of him.

Woods Canyon Lake

Tahoe unsuccessfully chased birds, squirrels, & lizards.
Notice he is crossing on the rocks.
The trail loop was 5 miles long.

Camping in Payson

Tahoe sat in the tent while we made coffee.

Look at this face.

"I am such a good boy. I never get into trouble. Don't I look innocent?"

Baby geese.

They are much braver now and will tolerate Tahoe and I; although, they hiss at us if we get too close.

Quack.

Hummingbird flying fast.

Hedgehog Cactus Blossom.

It's amazing how the most delicate and vibrant flowers bloom on thorny, drought resistant cacti.

Turtle.
I saw this big turtle at the park today. It was exciting because I have only seen one other very small one there.

Who did it?

I came home today and found the remains of a measuring cup all over the floor.

Prickley Pear Blossom.

Baby geese.

Adorable.

Cholla Blossoms.

We hiked South Mountain today and saw some amazing flowers.

Tahoe napping.

I guess they like to stretch way out when they sleep sometimes.

Boulder napping.

More ducklings.

Baby Geese.

I have been enjoying all the new spring arrivals at the park. I had to tie Tahoe up in order to get close to this group.

Hummingbird in Flight.

House Party?
I don't know what goes on when I am at work, but I came home and found this rug wadded up in a ball with all of Tahoe's toys surrounding it.

7 Ducklings.

Greta Girl.
Whenever I place a book, magazine, or map on the table, Greta immediately sits on it. She also does this when I am trying to read them.

The mighty hunter.

This is as far as he will go in the water
... so far.

Ducklings.

Oh, how cute is this?

Happy Easter!

Defluffing.

Tahoe rests after removing some of the pesky stuffing from a toy.

Boulder.

Here is an action shot of Boulder playing, rolling around, and licking her nose.

10 April, 2006

Floating in Prescott.

We took the canoe to Goldwater Lake and Lynx Lake. Tahoe refused to get on the boat, so I had to drag him.

Josh taught me how to fish. I insisted on using a barbless lure, so I wouldn't accidentally catch one.

Tahoe was good on the boat. He stayed close to me and kept an eye on all the ducks and birds.

Lynx Creek.

We walked along the creek, and Tahoe, surprisingly, romped through the water.

I don't know what this big thing is, but it was fun to walk across.

There was a nice pool with smooth rocks at the end.

Happy hiker.

My new sleeping bag.

The larvae slowly emerges from its cocoon...

Tahoe managed to look pitiful enough that he got to sleep between us.

Painting.

I painted my bathroom pesto green. Boulder helped by swishing her tail on the walls.

P.S. I got my hair cut a few days later, and the hairdresser said, "Were you painting?"

Yikes...
