San Tan Mountains

Tahoe, Traci, and I went hiking in the San Tan Mountains this weekend. We are standing next to a saguaro skeleton.
This land has recently been protected from development.
This saguaro is 150-200 years old.
Although there were a couple completed trails, there were plenty of primitive hiking opportunities.
This is a cholla skeleton; I think they are pretty.

Cat Cooking

Boulder helped me make pasta by chasing imaginary things on the oven hood.

Hanging out

I just wanted to read a book, but of course, I can't do anything by myself. All four animals have to help me.

Pass Mountain Trail

We hiked this 7 mile desert loop in the Usery Mountains. There were quite a few hikers out today since the weather was so nice. Tahoe was a big hit on the trail; everyone thought he was so well behaved.
Four Peaks are in the background.
If you look closely, you can see the trail.
The clouds hung over the valley, making it cool and breezy.

Lucky Dogs

Josh "found" this fire hydrant for the boys.
We planted flowers and the vegetable/herb garden. It contains tomatoes, eggplant, zucchini, cilantro, basil, and oregano.
This is Josh's brickwork.

Lost Goldmine Trail

Tahoe and I hiked this beautiful trail this weekend.
The views were stunning, and there weren't many hikers cluttering the trail.

Tahoe got excited when he heard some horses, and he took off to find them. After realizing that it wasn't just one horse that he could confidentally bark at, but it was 8 horses, he decided to come back and hang out with me while they passed.
