La Paz

The La Paz airport has 4 gates and 2 baggage carosels.

The malecon is the walkway along the sea, and it stretches for a couples miles. It is the gem of La Paz.

Who wouldn't want to look at this view?

Cactus salad. Yum! The wildly popular prickly pear pad is sold, peeled, and cut into small pieces in sealed, plastic bags in stores.

Wyland painting of gray whales and other sea creatures.

Every sunset was a little different.

Tecolote Beach

Tecolote Beach is supposed to be the most popular beach in La Paz, but on the day it was all but deserted.

Espiritu Santo (Holy Spirit) Island, the location of many of my dives, lies off the coast.

Sometimes, you will find a puffer fish - all puffed up and crispy - in the sand.

Mmmmm...nachos.

Take me home, tiny airplane!
