Peavine Trail
Tahoe and I hiked this scenic trail in Prescott. It passed Watson Lake, grassland, and the Granite Dells.
This used to be a railroad track which traveled from Santa Fe to Prescott to Phoenix, and to Wickenburg. The nine mile long serpentine trail was super flat and accessible to runners, bikers, and grandmothers with walkers.
Tahoe and I found challenges by climbing the massive boulders.
Tahoe studied to fingerlike rock formation.
Occasionally, we'd see relics from the past.
Tahoe took a dip after our adventure.

Meeting Maggie
Maggie is a total cutie pie.
She doesn't run; she bounces like a kangaroo.
Lucy finds her a little overwhelming, so she sought refuge on our laps.
Maggie ripped leaves off the plants, shook her head, and spat them on the ground.
I took these pictures with my new camera, and apparantly I pressed too many buttons, so they turned out like this.

Jim Thompson Trail
We were stuck in our tents until 1:00 while it rained. Finally, it let up, and we were able to hike this short but scenic trail. We saw lots of heart-shaped prickly pear. Tahoe was pleased to find so many water holes. He had to drink out of all of them.
I think this is Snoopy Rock, but I'm not sure. We made up our own names for most of them.

Bear Canyon Trail
We hiked one of the most beautiful trails in Sedona. The views were spectacular!
The trail rose steeply 1,800 feet in elevation. We enjoyed a 360 degree view of the towering sandstone cliffs, mesas, and spires.
Tahoe was too chicken to stand out on this ledge with me. He walked all the way over there, took one look over the edge, and scurried away. None of my persuasion tactics or lies about getting a treat worked.
The dramatic red hues of the sandtone increased as the sun went down.
I amused myself with that all American activity of throwing rocks over the edge. Traci scolded me and said, "There might be someone down there."
I managed to get a nice shot of Traci and Tahoe both looking at the camera at the same time.

Full Moon Fall Festival
Renee, May, and I spent some time in the kitchen discussing salsa, clothing, and men.
Tiffany and Jeff brought their dog, Oscar Noscar. (You're right Tiff, that will always be funny.) Everyone wanted to pet Oscar's soft fur.
Tahoe tried to convince Brian and Christopher that I never feed him, and they should help out a starving dog.
Traci and Richard enjoyed the evening entertainment: dogs & toddlers.
Everyone liked lounging on the new lawn chairs and table, but you should have seen them move when the sprinklers came on.
